About Gisubizo Ministry
Born from the experience of a long period of conflict and war in the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC), which has resulted into a refugee life in the Great Lakes Region and other part of the world
A small group of young students sought the comfort and the healing of a population who had fled war to seek refuge in Rwanda, in gathering together to pray
This group of students then encouraged everyone to start something that would later become Gisubizo translated in local language as “The Answer.”
This was both an answer and a call to a youth that was in desperate need of a home and so they chose the house of God. In the following years, Gisubizo exploded and became one of the leading ministries in Rwanda, Burundi, Congo, Uganda, Kenya, USA, Canada and Europe gathering thousands to worship and praise their God. One of the things that makes Gisubizo unique was and still is: a simple devotion to God through worship by worshippers who have immigrated from different corners of Africa.
Gisubizo Ministry was initiated as an answer and voice of hope aiming at sharing the Love of God in a practical way with the most vulnerable groups of people like refugee children, other vulnerable children and women, who lived the bad experience of war, conflict and other human rights violations and other health issues.
